Can a woman run away, back to her past? Caroline Davis White, a well-known artist, thought she could escape back to the cabin where she spent her summers as a child. But her husband refused to let her go. There hadn’t been a divorce in Brad White’s wealthy family ever, and he wasn’t about to break that tradition now.
Hiding out in the bungalow she’d inherited, Caroline, now using Sunny, her childhood nickname, had plenty of time to think. She had found peace and someone she didn’t expect to find. And he was all grown up, too.
Caught between two men, Sunny’s dilemma came to a head after a near-tragedy. Which way would she go? Intense, funny, and loving, this clean romance will suck you in and keep you riveted right through the last page. If you’ve ever wondered about someone from your past, this is the story for you.
A taste of the book
“You’re running away, Miss?” Harry, the butler, asked her.
“I’ve had enough. Thank you for all your kindness over the past five years. You helped to make unbearable times better,” she said, warmly, shaking his hand.
Harry, a non-descript, plump, fifty-year-old man blushed, putting color in his sallow cheeks.
“Don’t know what’s wrong with Mr. White. When he has you here, why would he…? Well, it’s not for me to understand. But I wouldn’t be doin’ that if I were him.”
She was grateful for his sweetness, but it was time to get started. She had a long trip ahead. Caroline Davis White dashed into the sunroom to grab her sketchpad and her fawn pug when the doorbell rang.

Sunny Days Moonlit Nights Moonlight Series Book 1 eBook Jean Joachim Reviews
I voluntarily review an ARC.
This is a really sweet romance with believable characters and a lovely scenery. I wasn't able to put it down. Though Sunny sometimes is a bit too naive for my taste, the strong protagonists show that love is much more important than money and will dominate in the end.
Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights is a very sweet romance that kept me reading `til I finished it. I got into the characters quickly and enjoyed the descriptions of their feelings as they handled the situations that came up. This is a story that many will enjoy if they like their Happily Ever Afters.
Caroline "Sunny" Davis White is a gifted artist who is running away after five years in an unsatisfactory marriage. Her husband has been cheating on her for the past two years that she knows of; the final straw is when her husband sent another man to proposition her. Taking off to a place where she knew happiness she hides out from her unfaithful husband and meets up with the man of her teenage fantasies. Sunny has sworn off rich men as they seem to believe they can do whatever they want with whomever they want.
Mike "Mickey" Foster was Caroline's protector when she was younger. If trouble could be found she inevitably found it and he was there to pull her from the edges. Mike hasn't seen Caroline for twenty years. He has had his own life and experiences over those years. Managing to amass a fortune he is now semi-retired and plays with a local band. Mike is shocked to see Sunny again and their attraction is instantaneous. But Sunny hasn't told Mike everything and frankly, he has kept a few things back too.
Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights is a story about new beginnings from something that must have taken root in the past. Mike and Sunny feel as though the intervening years never happened and now they are free to explore their feeling towards one another to the fullest. However, if Sunny fully explores she could be dragging Mike in for a lawsuit citing alienation of affection. Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights shows that Sunny has grown over the years and can actually protect herself from trouble and perhaps protect others as well. Sunny and Mike had great chemistry and I liked the angst that was thrown in with the butler and her estranged husband in Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights. The surprise singing scene was beautifully written and well worth the wait! Mike was incredibly sweet to replace all that Sunny lost and to even have saved some priceless things before they were lost. Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights is a sweet, dreamy romance that will have you rooting for Mike and Sunny and wishing that the evil husband would get his comeuppance!

Caroline Davis White aka Sunny Davis has had enough. She's finally gained enough courage to leave her loveless marriage and start her life over. Escaping to the cabin her parents left her, memories of a happier time come flooding back as well as her childhood crush Mickey, now known as Mike Foster. Forever her hero, as just like in childhood, he ends up saving her again in adulthood.
Life is far from simple though, she's a famous artist and her husband is not ready to let her go. More drama occurs when she makes the headlines for disappearing, and worst yet once her cheating husband finds out about Mike. Sparks ignite, a childhood love is re-born, and it's a fight to keep everything she holds dear in the end. A fight she's determined to win.
Mike Foster walks by the old Davis cabin just as someone screams for help. With adrenaline pumping to see what's wrong, he's surprised to see the gorgeous naked woman in the bathroom unable to move without being burned. The faulty piping has made the water scorching, but it's not the only thing in the room that's hot. Two childhood friends reunite, and he soon finds himself falling for the gorgeous woman he always used to keep out of trouble. Sunny's hiding something from him though, and he's determined to find out what it is. His heart is on the line, and he can no longer picture his life without her but is she willing to give him a chance?
Sunny Days, Moonlit Nights is a well written heartfelt romance that will motivate you to keep turning the pages. Once I started it, I couldn't stop until the end. This is the second book I've read that Jean C. Joachim wrote, and I'm looking forward to more. Have you gotten your copy yet?

I'm a sucker for a good love story and this one qualifies. Glad to have a surprise ending. I almost shed some tears and I never cry. Wonderful characters, exciting but believable.
Good story line with people you learn to care about. Couldn't put it down. Loved the descriptive language of the scenery as well.
